Promised $1000.00 prize shopping spree and 3 day family vacation

Got phonecall at work. Said due to my shopping at various stores I won a prize that included $1000.00 shopping spree, and later added a vacation for family, named vacation choices quickly to include Cancun, Hawaii, etc.

Man who said his name was Berk Lee with Unified Services said I would receive a package with prizes via UPS. Prize was free but I was to make out check for $1.95 for UPS delivery charge. Asked me to get checkbook so he could instruct me how to write check. I told him I was not going to give check account or bank routing numbers over the phone to someone I did not know. He repeated the offer as if I would be foolish to pass it up, and said I would not give the info to him but to the verification department, but that he had to have me fill out the check before he could transfer me.

I said to go ahead and transfer me to the verification department, but he repeated everything. I began asking for his phone number and to speak to his supervisor, but he hung up.

I am eager to do what I can to help apprehend/punish these criminals.
