Scams the elderly and bullies them into submission

The Kirby vaccuum scammers have made their run through a couple of small towns in West TN. My grandparents were their prized victims last week.in their 80's, they are still able to live alone with family checking on them throughout the day. Unfortunately, we may need to rethink just how often we check on them.

It only took a few minutes for the scammers to push their way into my elderly grandparents' home and then they spent a long time intimidating them into purchasing a vaccuum cleaner they do not need nor can they afford. Even when my grandmother told them "we can't afford this, " they kept on harassing her to buy it. Fearing they would not leave until she did as they demanded, and scared of what they might do if she continued to refuse, she signed on the dotted line.

I took a look at the "contract" my grandmother signed and it is not even a legal document to support a bill of sale. It would not hold up 5 seconds in a court of law. I contacted the company and told them just that and that I wanted the vaccuum cleaner picked up and the money returned. I told them not to contact my grandparents as they were afraid of them at this point.

On the phone, the ditzy receptionist agreed to my request and told me the sales person would be by in 2 days to pick up the vaccuum cleaner and return the check. I was amazed that the matter could be resolved so quickly, but that is how scammers work.

They immediately called my grandparents, and I believe they continued to call for the next 2 days threatening my elderly grandparents with several actions, including having me put in jail for calling them, ruining their credit, suing them, and other ridiculous and completely bogus actions.

Congratulations Scammers! You win! My grandparents are scared to death of you. They refuse to allow me to handle this because you told them you would put me in jail. If you would like my address I believe you can get it easily - just call my grandparents and threaten them - they'll probably give you directions to my house. With more of your excellent persuasion, they might even drive you over here personally.

I hope you enjoy my grandparents' grocery money. Eat up, get fat! You earned it. The vaccuum cleaner will sit as they can't even operate it, they are too old and frail to move it.in the meantime, the amount of money you charged them could buy their groceries for the next 4 months. Perhaps I should buy them some stronger dentures and give them a salt shaker. Perhaps they can eat the vaccuum cleaner for the next few months since you have their food money. Enjoy it! Buy some drinks and toast yourself.

And please, oh please, do something "legal" to me. See, you didn't harass ME. You were very careful not to call me when you were offered my contact info. So legally, I can't press charges against you. But if you will please initiate some kind of bogus, hokey action against me, it will open the door for me to come after you legally. I love studying law! I love putting it in practice! I look forward to seeing you soon, that is if you don't choke on my grandparents' supper.
