Possibly the worst company to work for on earth

Miscellaneous

Where do I begin with this company? I guess I will begin with their slave labor practices. I worked as an installer, and when we were sent out to do a repeat for another Tech we do not get paid for these calls. I have 60 plus calls that have been turned into the Dept of Labor that I never got paid for. Another Tech has done the same thing, and if we can get just three more people to do this, the Dept of Labor will open a major investigation into these slime balls and everyone who didn't get paid for these types of calls will get a check.

This company also plays favorites. I was fired over one escalation, when there are several employees that have been written up many times and have had at least two escalations but, still work there.

They fired me because I was doing an install on an old, very well built, brick home. While attempting to drill a hole through the wall, I ran down both batteries on my drill and bent my masonry bit. I informed the customer that I would have to come back to finish that part but, I ran some flat cable through their windows to insure that they would have their satellite. When I left, all TVs in the home had a good picture.

That night my wife was taken to the hospital, she had a heart attack and was admitted for further tests. I called my Lead and let him know what was going on and that I would not be in the next day. While my wife was having a stress test done, the main office in Denver called me and asked about that job. I informed them of the situation and I told them I would finish the job as soon as I went back to work. She was discharged that Saturday and I was back to work on Sunday.

The first call I did on Sunday was this home. So, the job was finished. Monday, was my day off. I get a call from Matt, one of the supervisors. He said, "You need to get your *ss out to that job and finish it!" I informed him that the job was finished the day before. He got on his usual attitude and told me that it had better be done. Tuesday was also my day off, I wen back to work on Wednesday and worked the entire day. Thursday, I was fired.

This company is also racist. I am white and I can't tell you how many times I have heard that nasty "N" word come out of this Matt's mouth. We had one African-American employee, who was fired a few days after I was. He was basically fired for doing an install how the customer wanted it done. This customer had to have a pole planted in his yard to get a good signal. He didn't want the tech to bury the cable because, he said that he would do it himself because he wanted the cable in PVC pipe. Someone went out and did a quality check on his work and without even speaking to the customer, they fired this guy.

In closing, if you are looking for a job, do yourself a favor and skip this company. If you are still employed by these jerks, do yourself, and all employees a favor and open a case with the Dept of Labor for the repeats you never got paid for. This will hit them where it hurts, right in the pocketbook!!
