Bouncing paychecks and then getting fired

I worked on and off for this company. The boss bounced my paycheck twice. He bounced a colleague's four times. There are many other employees whose paychecks have bounced.

I called the Dept of Labor. The law in Colorado states a business has 10 days to make good on those checks. My boss found out I called the DOL and fired me. He told me he isn't violating the law so too bad. He knows he can do this continually and does not pay people for bounced check fees.

It's a toxic environment.
