Lies to companies interested in hiring ex-drivers about driving records Ripoff

I was a leased driver with Blackhawk, on January 24 I was issued a ticket for a hit and run acccident that I was not involved in, a case of mistaken idenity 25 miles away from the scene of the accident.

I took extensive photos and gathered evidence I learned from the shipper that there were two trucks with the same identical load on a flatbed trailer, both were traveling on the same stretch of road about 2-3 miles apart, the police just stopped the wrong truck.

The charges against me were dropped after I presented the evidence through my lawyer. At this point I thought that the matter was over, but not for Blackhawk, who had paid the injured party's insurance claim, over my protests.

A year later I was called into the safety Director's office and was informed that I would have to pay Blackhawk as per my lease agreement $2,000.00 for the accident that I did not have. They also charged me an additional $4,000.00 for two minor accidents that I was involved in but was not charged with any citations and had been cleared by Blackhawk's own accident review board.

I quit the company over this and ever since I am having a hard time finding another job because Blackhawk is telling lies about my driving record saying that I had an accident on January 24. They also reported that to USIS (DAC) so it shows me having three accidents in the year of 2006 all being all charged against me. I had one company hire me and purchase an airline ticket to fly me in, only to turn around three hours later and un-hire me after recieving a fax from Blackhawk telling them about the January accident.

Blackhawk also kept my last paycheck and kept my $1,000.00 escrow account and kept the $360.00 that they had collected to pay for my next license plate.
