Global Air-Wave Communication
Promised free cel phone, added charges to phone bill CRAMMING

Miscellaneous

On March 9th, I was contacted on the phone around 10:00 AM, by a gentleman who told me that since I was such a great customer who paid my phone bill on time with AT&T, that I would be receiving a beta testing of a cel phone for a month free. Also, included with the cel phone it would come with a 1-800 toll free number.

I asked him if it was free and he assured me that everything was free and I asked him would there be any setup charges, and he assured there would be no set up charges.

I told him that a free cel phone would be great since I have been on disability since November and my son was able to beta test a cel phone and it would be a way of staying in touch with my wife in the hospital during the time that I would be in the hospital on March 26th.

During this 30 minute conversation, I kept telling him, that I did not want to pay anything. I would not pay for any setup charges or anything and he and the supervisor that he switched me to confirmed that. They told me that I would be receiving my cel phone in 2 weeks.

After the supervisor confirmed the information, the salesperson tried to sale me a vacation package which I refused and I hung up.

On, Friday, March 23rd, I received a envelop from Global Air/Wave Communication with a cell phone certificate not a cell phone and something about possibly getting charged. I put the envelop and the information in a drawer to follow up with the company later if they did bill me.

On, Friday, April 11th, I checked my AT&T phone bill online and I noticed a bill from some company called The Billing Resource for $54.90. When I looked at the details, I saw a bill for $34.95 for a set up charge for Airwave Call Manager Set Up Fee and $19.95 for Airwave Call Manager.

I noticed that there was a phone number (1-888-296-8079) on the top and when I called it they told me that it was billed by Global Air Wave and I had to call them when they opened on Monday.

I did some research on Global Air-Wave and I have discovered that they have done this to several people in the past and what they did to me is what is called cramming.

On Monday, April 16th at 9:03 AM, I called Global Air-Wave, talked to Chastity, explained to her about my conversation with her salesperson and how he assured me that everything was supposed to be free, she asked me why I was taking 3 minutes telling her a story?

I told her that I received a $54.90 bill on my phone bill and I needed her to take the charges off. She refused to take the charges off and I told her that I would then call the Public Utilities Commission. She hung up. She was very rude.

I called back a minute later, talked to Roy asked him to cancel the service and then told him I would be calling as many agencies to report him. He got arrogant after I told him that I told him that I saw several complaints on his company on the internet. He told me that everytime that anyone complains about their company nothing is every found.

This company is running a scam, I have no idea how many people they have crammed, but I wish some one would investigate them fully.

I called AT&T on 9:50 AM and reported the dispute and right now my charges are in pending claim.

I called and sent a formal complaint soon after to the California Public Utilities Commission on the same day. Rebekah at the CPUC when I asked her if I should call the Texas Public Utilities Commission, gave me a number for the CPUC public assistance for questions on whether I should call them.

When I talked to a gentlemen there, he suggested I talked to them, and when I talked to someone at TPUC, they told me to call the Federal Trade Commission and report them, because they can only handle only local customers.

I next called the FTC and reported this company and the person told me that if enough people report them, they will be investigated.

Finally today, since I see that Global Air Wave is a representative of Jolt PCS, I called them and I told them about their unethical business practices and I filed a complain with the local Better Business Bureau, which if you check they have an unsatisfactory report.

If you get scammed by this company, don't give in, you must fight take these steps to beat this company. You can call me. But do everything possible to bury this company.

1. Call and tell them to take the charges off your bill because they crammed you and what they did is illegal (they will refuse and they will tell you that you do not know what you are talking about and you will lose.)

2. Call your phone company and dispute the charges and tell them that you got CRAMMED.

3. Call your State Public Utility Commission and report this company.

4. Call the Federal Trade Commission and report them. (The more complaints the FTC gets the more heat this company will get).

5. Report them to the local Better Business Bureau.

6. Call the main company that they are representing in my case it was Jolt PCS and tell them that you don't appreciate who they have as their dealers and you hope their business practices don't reflect the ethics of their dealers.

The main thing is FIGHT!
