Abusive employer steals resume from job agency

I was registered with several employment agencies. I received a call from ACR Title Group after the agency faxed them my resume. The agency blocked out my phone # and address - so ACR title tracked me down on the internet by name and last employer information. The ad they ran stated salary at $50,000.00. When I interviewed they tried to get me to agree to $30,000.00 -I said no. Then they raised it to 35,000.00 and promised a merit raise after 6 mos. (I did not get the raise.) They cheated the job agency out of their fee and lied about the salary.

Also they were abusive - I had to call before and after using the restroom as well as to call them in Largo to let them know I was still in the office at 4:30 prior to leaving for the day. If I used the restroom after 4:00 P.M. I was accused of leaving early.

AT one point I was still in a closing at 5:00 P.M. And called to advise them of same and was belittled beyond belief - they did not believe that I was in office (I never did anything for them not to believe me - I even offered to punch a time card and they said "we believe you - you don't need to do that") They actually called back the office to make sure I was telling the truth. They did not pay overtime.

I could not handle the mental abuse anymore it was making me physically ill. They told me I had to drive to Largo every day until further notice - it was non-negotiable - so I tendered my resignation. I did not sign up to drive to Largo being a single mother I could not get to daycare at the end of the day before they closed at 6:00 P.M. I was fired immediately.

I filed for unemployment - received it but they contested it and they won. I now have to pay back a large sum of money. I hope that others seeking employment see this and think twice before taking a job with this particular employer.

Also, they are doing questionable things by giving discounts on the desk fee of remax agents who use them as the owner of Remax ACR Elite is the owner of the Title Company.
