A fraudulant business scheme that swindled me out of $159.95

I signed up for a prepaid estate debit card on 01-13. However, when my bank account is debited $159.95, I closed my checking account. I even filed an affadavit, because at first, I honestly did not recall signing up for a prepaid estate debit card. Since then, I have communicated to EDP that I do not want the card, but the corporation giant will not relinquish my $159.95. What is the purpose in keeping the consumer's money after the fact, if the consumer makes it known he or she doesn't want or is no longer interested in EDP's prepaid estate debit card service? Is it legal for this corporation giant to hold onto the patron's money like that, and what is the point in doing so?

I have received the same dead-end responses from EDP via Jasmine, Tiffany, and now Constantino, that the automated process isn't stoppable. The process beng automated has no relevance in whether or not my money is refunded me. Even if it is not stoppable per EDP, it can mended. People make mistakes. The customer representatatives are little help, they continue to sell me the same ad-hoc line of you know what about the "process." I just want my money back.

Another point to consider is if I signed up at another credit or debit card company, most credit and debit card companies would refund the patron if the patron didn't use the card after some time or he or she changes their mind, and this company does neither. I think EDP hopes the consumer will give up trying to get their money back after awhile via their recycled "unstoppable automated process." They keep your money anyways. Nice company.
