Ripoff incompetent in color installation

Greystone installed a concrete patio at my home last year. It was Greystone's recommendation to add a color hardener to the surface. Greystone's crew finished the patio installation with wet brushes. Each of those strokes (some permanently embedded in opposite direction) remain highly visible today. These are white streaks, markings and water spots that immediately appeared on the patio after the installation. We e-mailed Greystone pictures and followed up via telephone as well.

We were told each time that the patio needs to cure, at one time we were told that it takes a month and later on we were told that it takes a year to cure. We then contacted the color hardener's manufacturer. A service representative visited our home to inspect the patio. He explained to us that water should never be used with a color hardener because it changes the water to cement ratio resulting in a permanent change in color and that none of his products will fix it.

This is not what we contracted for with Greystone and it is unacceptable to us. It created a huge eyesore. Greystone advertises: ".. With concrete you don't get a second chance so do it right the first with GREYSTONE" and "... Our foremen and craftsmen are schooled and highly trained in the decorative concrete industry..." We are very disappointed with Greystone and cannot recommend this company. We hope that readers learn from our experience with GREYSTONE.
