Freedom Gold, This company debited $149 from my bank account without my FULL authorization!

There was this 1800 number always calling my house, until one day I picked up. I remember them telling me about a free trial period of 30 days for a long distance phone card, and they verified my account information. Next thing you know $149 is deducted from my bank account!

I get this stupid calling card where I'll be charged $49.00 a month for after 2/10/07, my home phone plan is cheaper then that and I have long distance! Anyway I called and cancelled the card. I told them about the $149, they transfered me somewhere else, the operator tried to be a smart ass, and said it's recorded where I did authorize such transaction for some package I never got, what she didnt know was that I found out about their reputation before I called.

Once I told her about this being done to many other people, she had little to say (hope that was "recorded" as well). Now I'm in the process of getting my money back. I had to send them a letter, and wait 24-48 hours for a check to be processed. This is annoying and frusturating!

They are quick to take my money, yet when I want it back I have to write a freaking letter, and wait for a check to be processed. I'm a college student and I certainly do not have $149 dollars coming out of my ass to just give away! Ffeeww that felt good!
