Refunds, what happened to the 30 day right of sale?

I have worked retail most of my life and I have never had the hassel or the disrespect that I got today. We do purchase product at walmart because the prices usually are with in our price range. We are on a fixed budget and it works for us.

Well, while we were in the store today we noticed that the hunting jacket my husband had purchased a few weeks prior was on sale. So being 99% of stores will give you the 30 day right of sale, we took the receipt back to the service center and asked for the refund. They refused because it had been 26 days. Whats up with that. I was totally shocked.

We asked to speak with the manager because I have done it many times and I worked for a better store than this. He had to call someone and then said argumently that it is not our policy, but we will do it this time, but thats it.

Now trust me, I could of brought that jacket back with that receipt, got full price back for it and then just went and picked up another one and purchased it for the clearance price, so what difference does it make.

And whatever happened to the customer is right, come on now.
Loosing faith in Walmart.
