My name is Jeanne I am the mother of five children. They are all from the same father. After 16 years of abuse both mental and physical the marriage ended in divorce.
Currently and for the past 10 years I have been fighting a battle with Child Support Enforcement in the state of Florida with no assistance what so ever it is my belief that because I have somehow managed to take care of my children on less then 40,000.00 a year without collecting food stamps and welfare I have suffered discrimination from the State of Florida.
I have asked for enforcement repeatedly My ex-husband has not filed income tax in 10 years so no garnishment of returns is possible I reported this fact to the IRS they do nothing My ex-husband has been in and out of jail for Drugs, domestic violence and so on but in between has made between 50,000 to 70,000 a year in sales with verifiable records of such from employers. I also reported this to the State Of Florida Child Support Division on numerous occasions and filed a petition for modification It was initially ordered for him to pay 155.00 a week he is over 20,000.00 behind.
In closing I think it would be interesting to find out how many single parents fall under this category. I am not getting help and I do believe this is grounds for reverse discrimination is this important to your firm to speak for the many of us who are fighting for assistance with no resolve because we don't collect welfare
