Calypso Cay Resorts
Too good to be true, nights in Orland, Daytona and the Bahamas ripoff

Miscellaneous

Was called by sales person on 12/07 with what really sounded too good to be true. And despite I am on the no call list.

We started out talking to Doug, then his manager Jessica got on the phone. We know you are a timeshare owner so you get a really good rate.

Are you between 25 and 68? Married or Single?

Started at $598 for 4 days, 3 nights in Orlando, then 3 days and 2 nights in Daytona. The a cruise to the Bahamas.

Now wait, it gets better.

They dropped it to $348

Then they added a couple more days in Orlando. Oooops, we forgot to tell you that we can also get you a rental car for $99 for the whole week and a mid size at that.

Well, I'm thinking about it. Told them to call me back in four days.

Oh nooooo. If you purchase right now, I will drop it to $298, but you have to purchase tonight.

By the way, did I tell you that this is fully refundable if you return the package within 30 days. Oh yes, you can also transfer it it you want.

OK, we got the phone number they gave us (727) 849-1306
and I did see at least the 727 on the tv caller id when it rang, so it really is from Florida.

I did a search for Calypso Cay and found several complaints, including some from the hotel chains they are supposed to be representing.

One site had links to file legal complaints online to the state of Florida.

Folks, NEVER EVER buy something you gotta do right now.
If it is legit, they will be happy to take your business any time.

Above all, it doesn't take much time to search the internet for problems.

Now, since I did not buy, I can not attest to this being a scam, but smelly fish is smelly fish.

Enough said.

Jeb Bush, you need to do something about this...
