Rip off (scam) fpr bad debts. Need to find way to close account

I had received a letter from embrace visa which i thouht was a collection agency for a bad debt i had and they offered me to transer the debt to embrace visa, thought at the moment it had sounded like a good deal now after doing rearch i find out they are just scamming people, and even when my payment wouldn't even be do yet, they would be calling me hounding me for the money, i need help as to how i get this account closed!
