I went down to Ecuador to go on an Ecological Tour in a region known as the Intag. I spent my hard earned money and vacation and got nothing but to see videos of Cloud Forests that had long since been logged. Furthermore I was thrown into a conflict between communities battling over whether or not they supported or opposed development. What I found was a Captain Kurtz styled self appointed dignitary named Carlos Zorrilla using donations from the rest of the world to support he and his buddies lifestyles and personal interests. Don't be fooled by Zorrilla and his organization DECOIN plea for help to save the forest, they and their local band of mafia are the ones who are logging the national park and protected forest in the area. Their coffee organization is their way to subjugate the poor locals which they rip-off by acting as the middlemen for the coffee cooperative. This is an unbelievable and sickening scam aimed at raising funds to destroy the environment and local culture instead of trying to save it. Don't be a fool; save your money and donate to a real cause!!!
