Ripoff Artists Liars!

In October I was having credit issues but was able to attain the funds to settle on all my credit card debt. I called each of my creditors and received settlement amounts, including Aspire. I sent them all payment in full on the settlement and a year later started receiving offers from Aspire to make payments on my deliquent balance.

I called them and was told there was a large payment received on my account in Oct. Of 2004 but that they had no proof documented on my account that it was a "payment in full", they wouldn't tell me what the payment was but was able to tell me what I still owed them (apprx 500.00), as I recall my credit limit wasn't even that high.

I sent them 800.00 and they are still showing I am delinquent 500.00. When speaking to one of their agents I was told they sold my account to a collection company and had no way of knowing or telling if my account was paid in full and because I was so upset they said they wouldn't help me and hung up on me.

Upset??! Yes I was but I certainly wasn't rude, and I wasn't yelling, just impatient with the non-human that refused to give me any information. Today I still have a delinquent amount on my credit bureau for these rip off artists and can't re-establish even paid in full.
