Ripoff Manhattan

On 10-05-06 at approx. 6pm a man named "Carl" intrusively forced his way into my garage as I was unloading my daughter and groceries from the truck. "Carl" was a 6 foot, 200lb., white male, who wore a distracting bandage over his nose.

He immediatly began opening several boxes of packaged meat and tossing them around my garage. "Carl" began with his speach on how well known he was in this neighborhood, everyone from the chiropractor in town to my next door neighbor buy their meat from him. He made it sound as if I was getting an unbelievable deal. He spoke extremely fast and of his own personnal life.

He told me his wife cooks the meat for he and his children everynight, that selling this meat is how he has made his living for the last 12 years. I proceeded to tell hime I did not have the money nor the room in the freezer for the meat. This is when he walked in to my home without asking and began filling my freezer with the meat.

Feeling overwhelmed and pressured to purchase the meat, I just wanted him out of my home. He insisted he was not leaving without a sale. I made the mistake of writing him a check for $440.00 for the meat he had placed into my freezer.

Hours later after talking to my family and friends, I began to feel very taken advantage of. The following morning I called the number listed on the receipt and spoke to "Jason" at the corporate office. He told me I would be receiving a call back from "Carl". Wasting no time I immediatley stopped payment on the check.

A few hours later when I spoke to "Carl", he insisted I had received a great deal and that he was never pushing or intrusive. I told him the check had been stopped and he could come back and get the meat.

He became very rude and hostile, swearing at me and then hanging up. When I returned home, I spoke to the neighbor whom had supposedly refered him to my home. She not only did not tell "Carl" to come to my home, she had called the police on him the night before for forcing his way into her home and refusing to leave without a sale.

Hearing this, I too choose to contact the police. Beware of this company and there scam, I hope this nightmare is over.

beware, if it sounds to good to be true... It is!
