Shauck Enterprises
Ripoff D2D Sales scamming Terrific Entry Level Marketing Managment Positions

Miscellaneous

Three years ago I worked for an affiliate of DS MAX here in the Houston area. I was a bit uneasy about the sales but after being told how much money could be made I went along with. My first week wasn't too bad... I made about 200 dollars but figured once I got the sales pitch down better that would change. The only thing that changed were my sleep patterns. My second week my manager told me that I needed to stay out two hours longer at night (till 7pm) and that's after getting there at 5:30am! My second week I made about 150 dollars and that was about half of the sales total for my "team". The third week not only was I expected to work five 16 hours days, I was told that we were expanding to Sat and Sun as well. This went on for three months. We were dragged up to Dallas twice for "training" which including driving my own car four hours up and back but pitching in for a hotel room which I shared with about ten people, paying for meals and gas.

The training consisted of following other people around for three days, not making any money myself. After three months I had gotten one paycheck for $350. The entire office was told that there were "payrole" issues with the corporate office. After three months of working 16 hours a day seven days a week in the winter I developed a severe cold. I was told that I was NOT allowed to take a day off... If I did I would be fired and forfeit any outstanding commissions I had earned. I walked around sick as a dog for two weeks before I finally quit. The final straw? My manager told me that my being sick was not her problem and that I needed to shut up and suck up!!! Nice professional management huh...

I quite, finally got to a doctor and found out I had bronchitis and was about three days away from full blown pnuemonia. Three months after quiting I got a check from them for $1200. So all those months of work for a grand total of $1500.

So today I'm looking around on Chron.com, a local job search engine, and I see an add for entry level marketing. I call the company and I'm told they do the recruiting for Shauck Enterprises. I ask them to tell me more about the company. They tell me its in marketing. I ask for info on the job postion. Duties etc. The lady says it varies. I finally puch her so hard she gives up the cell phone number for the owner. I call the owner and get the physical address. Same address same building as the company I worked for. I ask her the same questions... She got MAD!!! She told me she is a busy woman and if I am interested in a position to come in.

THese people are liars and they will say anything to get you in. They talk a good talk but for the most part they are just as broke and desperate as you will be if you work for them.
