Ripoff

I have a sister who is critically ill in Boston, Ma. I have made 3 trips to Boston this month. I am leaving again in the morning. My sister is not doing well. When I returned home or should I say what is "Supposed to be home". Maintenance had entered my residence and did some electrical work. All of my clothing was taken out of the closet, placed on the bed. My telephone was lying beside the cradle, some debris was still in the bathroom.

IT took me 3 days to put my clothes back in the closet. I stayed with my sister 11 day in Brigham Hospital. I took care of her constantly. When I arrived at what is supposed to be my home, I found it as I described. I am 66 1/2 yrs old. I was totally drained. I had to place all the clothes back in the closet. I didn't know anyone had the right to touch any of my things. The company that did the work, was still in the area working.

I had informed the office that I was going out of town. Why couldn't they wait until I returned? I don't want to accuse anyone of taking anything. However, until I find a certain item (Cost over $1,000.00) I have the proof of the item and cost. It was a retirement gift, given to me last year. I think they should stay out of this residence, unless I am here. I have not given them permission to enter in and/or touch any of my personal belongings. Should I seek legal help?

I recently had surgery Sept 22. I hope when I return Friday I will not face a similar situation. When I arrive in Boston 9/26/06 I plan to call management and request that they do not enter the home for other than an emergency.
