Miscellaneous

It all took place at Wal-Mart on the Southside of Des Moines, Iowa. Some guy approached me and explained to me that he just needed 2 minutes of my time just to gather some information for a school project or something. He said he just needed two minutes of my time without being yelled at or beat up. I told him I wouldnt do that. He started asking me questions and trying to flirt with me, you know smalltalk like that. He then asked me if I was going to my car, I said yes, her said he would follow.

I tried ignoring him. He then decides to prop himself conveniently against my door so I couldnt get in. Then he pulled out some brochure/pamphlet looking thingy and tells me that he is trying to earn points for this trip by selling magazine subscriptions. He says I would get them in 120 days. Him and his fraternity brothers were having some contest. He said that if I purchased something and helped him earn points for this trip he would send me a postcard. Yeah. Right.

First of all I knew it was a scam. On the receipt they were giving to people it said "this company is not affiliated with students" He said he was from a fraternity so he had to be a student.

Anyways I think anyone in Des Moines or wherever who was approached by these guys who claim they are from escondido, ca, should help me in turning them in. Somehow. And if you work for this company. You should probably quit before its too late and you get caught!

This also happened last year. Same place. Same people. At wal-mart

Wal-mart should do something about it especially. They should protect their customers from weird people who try ripping people off in their parking lots.
