We're a small family business specializing in winemaking equipment and supplies. On April 25 Thomas Geronikos placed an online order for several items totaling $222.89 from our store. We shipped the order complete on April 28th via UPS per his instructions. UPS shows a proof of delivery on May 5.
We have sold several items previously to Thomas at this address without issue. On June 26 we were notified by the bank of a charge back for that amount. The bank stated the customer claimed he did not order the items. The bank debited our account $222.89, wouldn't allow us to contest or show proof of receipt. They claim that Visa has a new merchant protection system they're selling and unless you subscribe you have no recourse but to contact the customer for payment.
June 26 - A "very polite" email request was made to Thomas on 6/26 inquiring to the refusal to pay and requesting a reply how we might correct the problem.
June 29 - We called Thomas (per the number he provided on his order) and left a "very polite" message on his voice mail requesting he contact us.
June 29 - We forwarded the 6/26 email to Toms home business (www.skeezo.com) requesting he contact us on this matter. No reply.
We have a validated confirmed credit card order, from a repeat customer, proof of delivery of product to the correct address, and refusal of the customer to reply to our inquiry.
Thomas Geronikos owns his own small home business www.Skeezo.com. If he skips out on his personal bills, how does he treat his customers?
