My pride has a tough time dealing with the fact that I have been suckered... BIG TIME.

Without going thru all the "why's", I'll just say that I was in a desperate situation last December [2005] and needed a truck. Obviously, I ended up at JD Byrider in Kent, OH. Long story short, I got suckered into a 1992 Dodge Ram Charger... For SEVEN times the amount it's actually worth [which I did not know at that time]. They brought the truck up from their Alliance lot. When I test drove the truck and went back to the lot, I gave them a list of things I could see wrong. They assured me that the warranty would cover all those things. Now, I love big trucks and particularly the older ones. So, on top of the desperation, I was taken.in addition to this, the sales guys swore it was a one-owner truck with only 79,000 miles. Supposedly the previous owner used it only for hunting and fishing. It honestly did not occur to me at that time that was a ridiculous lie. I'm no hunter, etc. But according to some that are there is no way this truck of 14 years—owned by an avid hunter—would have only 79k miles. Silly me—eh?

Obviously, there has been nothing but problem after problem with this truck. However, my main point for posting here is to expose the fact that this is definitely a scam.in my experience and after some research I can see that this fits under the RICO Act; consumer fraud. I have found that Courtesy CPD, Inc. [the primary business name registered with the BBB for Courtesy Motors, etc] own several JD Byrider lots, from Upper Sandusky all the way out to Warren—many of which have recently changed their names... And doesn't anyone find it funny that JD Byrider [et al] and CNAC insist that we have their vehicles serviced at only particular locations? Hence, part of the scam. I was told that JD Byrider is a franchise. Well, that means they can change their name and appearance... And still be part of the scam. They still deal with CNAC. Do they really think we're THAT stupid?

There is much more to this, but I'm certain you all get the point. I am researching this issue deeper and have come to find that it is more wide-spread than I imagined. Anyone interested in a class-action suit? I am completely intolerant of sharks that prey on and bleed those like myself—just trying to make an honest living and barely meeting basic needs. We need to shut these idiots down. Now.
