Ohio Buyer Beware Used Clothing Dealer ripoff EXOWN used/second-hand clothing dealer: BUYER BEWARE

A few months ago, I contacted this company, EXOWN INC to import second-hand clothing into Africa. The so-called manager promised I was going to get grade A quality of which I paid the agreed sum of 26,000 for the 40' container in full. He promised delivery after 6 weeks but never delivered the goods till well after three months. I had to push him to actually ship it. You can imagine what I had to go through to actually get the goods. It cost me money, time, effort and customers and my business is still suffering as a result.

After the long wait of three months when he finally shipped the goods it was a completely garbage. It was nowhere near acceptable; even rags to be used in industrial cleaning looked better than the cargo I received. What a disappointment and loss to my business. As I speak the bulk of the wares are still sat in the store. You can imagine a poor African trying to make ends meet by raising so much money only to be ripped off by unscrupulous businessmen like David Samson of EXOWN INC. I confronted him and he says I bought the said goods in the order I got them and therefore he cared less what I think or will do about the goods.

I'm taking this matter up and I've written to Ohio chamber of commerce and Columbus Chamber of commerce respectively but have still not heard from them. Dumping of less standard goods on another country is against the law and certainly whatever Inspection company certified its wholesomeness before it left for the shores of Africa is collectively liable as well.

How can the Western world preach of fair trade to developing countries and practise otherwise by having crooks and rip-offs take such huge sums from poor genuine businessmen like me.

This is a big trap i wouldn't want any fellow african businessman to fall into please stay away from doing business wit exown inc, ohio you have been cautioned. Your business may be at risk

This man and his company is a RIP-OFF AND they sell cr*p to unsuspecting customers normally from the developing countries. They actually pulled the same thing on some I guess they figured I was desperate. Taking advantage of poor innocent and unsuspecting businessmen must stop and the only way they can be stopped is telling the world what these crooks are doing so people

Whatever you do, don't buy used clothing from david samson of exown inc he is a rip-off and he thinks its okay!
