I worked for RJR / SHC for about 2 years. It was Ok for about 18 months then things starting falling apart for many of the contracted agents. Not just me.By the time I finally had enough and was on my way out there were only a few people with more seniority then me. This was due to the way the company planned it. They will deny this I'm sure and say I had a bad attitude (Company policy to say that).

My complaint is that I was not paid my last 2 commissions for policies issued. But even more I was not paid for my last two months renewals. Also there is a reserve account they hold for charge-backs that I was never paid on.

All total they still owe me about $8,000.00 I left there in August. I was in contact with RJR and even waited to see if I would have any of my policy holders cancel or back out to be fair to the company which would have been deducted from the reserve account. I asked many times for my final pay and was told over and over that if all was in line I would be paid what was due me. I have several e-mails from RJR which will back-up this information.

I am not alone in this situation as many who have left there were not paid in full. It seems to be company policy to just ignore our requests for the money we earned. I am not looking for anything more then I have coming to me.

The reason I left and many other very good agents left is the quality of the appointments went way down hill. We were even getting the same appointments within one or two weeks of another. When I tried to address this I was told I had a bad attitude. It is true many sales positions have a revolving door. But I'm convinced as are many others who have worked for this company that they only want you to work for a short time so they can keep all the renewal money. Then it is a fight to get what they owe us in the end.

There is much more I could go into about things that I saw happen within this company. I will hold back until I see if this helps me to get the money they owe me.
