Legacy Sales
Magazine ripoff selling door to door to help intercity kids

Miscellaneous

MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS - Neighborhood door to door salesperson. Teams of youths, ages very from 17 to 25 traveling through neighborhoods. They usually are dropped off in local communities by large rental vans and they are promoting magazine subcriptions. Slogan - "Sponsor a student help them pay his way through college, or higher education, or "Help a innercity youth achieve their dream." You are standing there thinking "starving student", give the kid a break. You get an opportunity to choose all types of magazine subscriptions. Looks credible, WRONG!!! So, they solicite other ways. Great gift idea for a family relative or friend, WRONG!!! BOTTOMLINE - Once you write that check or god forbid you hand them your credit card. Don"t do it. You never see a subscription in your entire life.
