Tried very hard to rip me off... I may have stopped it

Well, same old story I'm afraid... Nice person, nice setup, gullible mood... However I researched this company and found this site right after the salesperson had left.
I ran outside and confronted this person about my new lack of faith in this deal and that I would like my check and money back. I was told no, and that I was harassing them by following.
Now here's the thing... The salesperson used my private cell phone to call their "manager." I used this number to get my money and check back. However, they still retain my name, address, phone number, driver's license, and signature.
Has anyone out there had any problems with ID theft or any other nature? And I was wondering if there are any lawyers reading this because I want to know if there are any legal problems with suppling this "manager's" number to the massess on this site.
I am worried of "revenge" because when they first entered they asked which car out front was mine... Do I need to watch it too?
