Ripoff

I recieved a phone call from someone saying that I had been selected to recieve a promotion and all I had to do was pay the shipping of $3.95. The package was discount movie tickets and food coupons and something else. They asked how was I going to pay and said by Visa or checking account. I told them I didnt have any and they acted like they knew I did. Well at the time I figured its only $3.95.

Well, I gave them my checking account # and a check #610. THey didn't even send the check thru for $3.95 they made a bank draft of 119.90 not only once but twice and tried to take 149.90 out of my account. My Checks for my bills started coming back and thats how I found out that they had took the money out of my account.

THe bank said they couldn't give me my money back because it had been to long so I have to go thru them to get my money back. It has been like a nightmare with these people for over six months.

I have been calling once and twice a week. First i find out that I think the Home office is in CHicago, IL where they took the money out but when you call you get foriegners from California that don't know anymore than what's on their computer screen. They won't let you talk to a manager because they say that they are the one handling the call.

Every call I made for a while would tell me allow 2 weeks for the refund. So I would wait then call back when no refund. First they were telling me I would get a draft to my account then they said they would send it thru ground mail it would be faster. That went on until Dec.

Another company took over and Americans were answering the phone. Well one said she would put a note in the computer and let corporate know that I had called about my refund. Then the next person I talked to said YOu will recieve your refund before the end of January. Today I called and this person tells me that I have to write COrporate and request a refund. SO Its no better with this company handling the calls.

I'm really getting fed up and I don't know what else to do.

I Think they take money out of peoples accounts because the bank or credit card company usually gives the money back and then they don't have to deal with the person they took the money from and they get rich. I wasnt that lucky to get my money back that easy and I'm catching the devil trying to get it back from them.

I've really learned my lesson and hope no one else gets scammed like I did. There are three companys that are in it together. ITs Premier Benefits, buyers Union, and somewhere else. Just keep a listen out for the phone. I have had a few friends get scammed too with this mess.
