Small business owner, Canadian citizen abuses employees and fires when done RIPOFF

While working for three years, as the sales and marketing director, I was also forced to work in the warehouse, shipping, laminating etc. The owner was too cheap to hire warehouse help, to accommodate all the new business accounts I opened for them. Within two years, sales increased 47%.

After two years, of working in pain, I finally went to the doctor for my arthritis in my hands, to see if I could get more pain medications to continue working as I needed the job, like most people.

After going to doctors for over a year, I was finally scheduled for hand surgery. One week before the surgery, I was fired and then to cover up - she manifested false allegations accusing me of stealing database of clients I brought onboard, to avoid paying workers compensation benefits and unemployment claims.in addition, she claims I worked on my own business during working hours. As the sales and marketing director I worked long hours at home computer finding clients to call on. I worked 10-12 hour days with no lunch break or overtime pay. I worked trade shows on weekends, and was told I was on salary.

I have worked for top Fortune 500 companies for many years, and have never had a boss accused me of stealing. This company needs to go and learn the federal labor laws regarding older workers, as well as others. Not only did she violate Federal laws but discriminated against me for my age.

The laws are written to protect workers from injury, and unlawful termination. I have filed formal complaints with recommended agencies to resolve this issue. I am an advocate for fair labor laws.

It appalling to me that Canadians can come to the US and run their businesses with no regard for their employees or customers.

This lady yelled at customers and theatened them by saying things like, "you better be nice to me, or I won't send your order". Changing the rules to suit her needs, putting her selfish needs first. Such as leaving the office to take care of her personal business, hacking into computers to spy on competitors and employees. This behavior is unacceptable.

All my years in management we learned to teach by example. When a boss says, "Maybe if I buy you a starbucks coffee, you will treat me nicer"".
Trying desperately to keep my personal life private, was a task. She hacked into my home pc to spy on me after I was fired. Trying to see what I was doing with my personal website.

This is an unfair business and employer and should learn to respect people. She should not be allowed to stay in our great country - where she refuses to apply for a green card as she would have to pay income tax here.

This is a travesty to allow these foreigners to come here and get away with unfair business practices.

If you go to their website, beware, they charge more without telling you. Be careful with doing business with this company.
