Darius ShaneAdvantage America - Darius Shane, He tried to get my bank account information. Government grant rip-off! Not the government!

Darius Shane called and stated that the government was giving away grants to help families due to the downfall of the economy after 9/11 and to those who have continually paid taxes. Here is caution #1. My husband does not pay taxes due to being a retired vet and forced out on military medical. So, he does not pay taxes. I also have not been able to work due to my family's special needs. So we are on a very strict budjet.

That we were being given $12,500 and we did not have to pay it back. That we would get a packet in the mail the next day. That there was a fee of $49.95. That there was a coupon in the packet for this fee that we needed to send in.

Caution #2. He then proceeded to my name in which he had my daughter's name. She has not filed taxes in a long time due to her not being able to work because of dialysis treatments and other medical problems. He then stated our address.

Caution #3. I have already had experience in people trying to get personal information from me and finding out that it was fraud so when he went onto my bank account, I knew there was something fishy. Besides, if it was the government, they would not do this kind of thing over the phone and request your personal information. When I would not give our bank name due to having to speak to my husband, he stated that I could use my autistic son's account. My son's account is for my son's use ONLY. Then I stated how we had 7 special needs children. Very true. We do. This would have been a great help to us if it were true with all of our children's medical and prescription bills. Thank goodness my my husband, myself and 16-year-old daughter can be seen at the VA. He then called back at 6:50 P.M. The same day and asked if my husband was home and I told him we were not going to do it.

Why do people have to do this stuff? It is getting to where you cannot trust anyone.including family. You end up having to pay the penalty while they enjoy the fruits of OUR labors. I hope there is a way to finally get these people.
