Deceptive, lying, will cheat you out of your money, bad business Ripoff

This company called me claiming I was eligible for their offers due to my credit card. I trusted them because I though that it was something from my rewards program.

They said I'd only have to pay for one magazine subscription and I'd get 7 others free. I asked if I could cancel at anytime and the reply was "our 1-866 number is on every page of the information you will receive, if you need to contact us."

When I received the information, I found out that the total I would have to pay would be approx. $998, but then there was another unexplained $200 charge also.

It said that cancellation must be written and that I could use the same sheet to write on and send back to cancel, so I did. A few days later someone called me and asked if I had received my info and I told her that I had sent it back to cancel. She told me that she would update her records.

About a month later, I started to receive magazines that I remembered were part of their offer. I called to confirm that my account had been cancelled and was told by the RUDE Customer Service Manager that she had never received my cancellation, that I had entered into a contract with them and was not supposed to cancel.

She finally cancelled my account but said that I would not be refunded the original payment of $49.92. She gave me an address to write to for a refund and I did, but have yet to receive a response.

Please stand up to these cheaters if they have done this to you. I am going to continue to demand my money back from them, and I hope you do too.
