Credit card ripoff offer fraud

After receiving several calls on my cell phone from an unavailable number finally someone spoke. They were offering me a credit card with a limit of $3500. It was explained to me that there was a one time processing fee of $369 and it would come out of my checking account on november 1. Yes, i gave them the information. Figuring that it is on every check i write anyway what could it hurt. (i figured wrong)

After the initial person took all the information she forwarded my call to another person to verify all my information. This person spoke very fast. I was lucky that i was able to keep up. During her sales pitch, she said i would receive a star value credit card. Since this sounded like an off the wall credit card company i ask what type of card it was. She responded it was a secured credit card. Quite the opposite of what "barbara #2190) told me.

Barbara told me it was an unsecured card with a limit of $35oo. Realizing this was a scam at this point i told them to cancel the membership and do not draft my account. So, now lets see what damage will be done 11/01/05.

This is a total rip off and i should have known. Trying to rebuild your credit a person will fall for anything! Dont do it. If it sounds too good to be true, it is, its a rip off! I will be filing a report with the bbb in ny
