RIPOFF This rental company is a FRAUD, they steal your money, BEWARE! Wrong accusations and dishonesty is all that comes from Academic Property Management

In August of I made the horrible mistake of moving into Buchtel Place.in that year, me and my 4 other roommates kept telling management that we needed new window screens, and several other items in the house that were broken. The items were never replaced, never fixed, and in the end, we were charged for them.
We were also charged 450 dollars for the painting of 3 tiny rooms. A hauling fee was charged for things we left behind, which was nothing. We even had the apartment double checked by parents to make sure there was not one thing left in it.

The management company also refuses to enforce security.in a time span of one months, 5 cars were broken into, 6 apartments broken into, and one car stolen; my car. My car was stolen right from in front of my apartment, which is located right next to the leasing office. Yet still, refused to invest in cameras or security.
Oddly enough, come the end of the year, everyone who was moving out was accused of not paying rent. My roommates were accused, my neighbors, and of course, myself. I was accused of not paying some odd 300 dollar amount, when I had already paid for my 6 months of rent in bulk, and in advance. I had to go to the bank, pay to get my checks retrieved, and show proof that I did in fact pay. This is the same thing the other tenants had to do, in order to prove they are being wrongly accused.

This company does not keep any record of who has paid what, or what things are wrong with each apartment. I even know of a person who lived there, for free for an entire year due to the disorganization of the complex, they never found out he didnt pay rent. Yet those of us who did were accused. They even started reporting some us to the credit beauru for non-payment, even though we paid and had proof.

Oddly enough, at the end of our lease, every tenant that moved out recieved the exact same photo-copied letter stating why they are taking our security deposits from us. We each paid 200 dollars, and there were 5 roommates per apartment. Which totals 1,000 dollars. And guess what each apartment owed at the time of move-out? 1,000 dollars, the exact amount of all our deposits added up.
DO NOT rent from these people if you live in Akron, Ohio. They are TERRIBLE and think because you are a college student, they can steal your money and rip you off. These are the two rental properties in Akron:

Please, I am starting another website about this, and posting flyers to end this mistreatment of college kids. To them, stealing our money may be easy for them, but to a college student, 200 dollars is ALOT of money.
Do not be a victim of these selfish, scamming people.
