My name is Nancy and I have been a part of the scam with Advantage America government grant program. I was asked questions by Sam Roger ID# 0312. I have in the past been looking into government grants and attended a seminar on government grants as I am in need of money to relocate as my rental home of 8 years was sold and I needed to vacate.

The call took place on August 24th. Sam Roger explained everything to me and said I didn't need to put up any money up front. I asked him repeatedly to make sure of this as I am on disability. He said that I would receive the government grant money within 3 days after I got the fed ex mail. He said I was to sign the paper where it was outlined in yellow. Sam Roger then told me I had to verify what he had said to me. He told me for signing up for the grant money that the money would be taken out of $500.00 in store food coupons and assured me several times that I would not be charged 1 cent for this money as it was a legitimate government grant.

On August 30th the check for $49.95 was taken out of my account. I was stupid enough to give out my account number but when you home is sold and you have 30 days to vacate I was pretty desperate.

Sam Roger then told me that I would then be asked to verify the information with someone else as he needed verification. He had total control over the phone and when I would say no to taking the money out he said say yes as it meant nothing. I said no about 3 times and Sam Roger told me we had to start over. When I would answer a? For Sam to verify he would push the number on the phone.

I just made a call and spoke to a Tammy Baker and I was told I was an adult and no one held a gun to my head to accept this offer. She told me no way would I get my money back. She said it was a one time non refundable fee. I asked her repeatedly for my money to be put back in my account as I am disabled and get 1 check a month. She said no way are you getting your money back. She played the recording that Sam had me verify and everything is correct except for when I would say no to have the money drafted out of my account. I asked Tammy Baker where the other tape of verification was when I told Sam I wouldn't have them take $49.95 out of my account. He again assured me not to pay attention to that and again said it would be deducted from the store coupons. I am now out $74.95 with the overdraft. I have 2 phone numbers and no address on the check. Check #833191

How can someone use our government to make money using this kind of tactic. For gods sake the government is supposed to be for us the AMERICAN people. Now I was scammed and i do feel like a fool. Tammy Baker from customer service made sure of my stupidity and told me I was a stupid adult who should have known better. When I mentioned RIP-OFF she said I was not scaring her.
