Took money out of my checking account without me giving them the number and refused refund, ripoff

Miscellaneous

I received a phone call wherein the person told me that asked me if I had applied for a credit card recently. I told them not that I remember but they asked me if I had been to a sport's event and I had and of course I filled out the application to get the free shirt.

The company at the Phillies game must be selling their lists to this company. Then he asked me if I had received a credit card recently, I said no. He then said that I woudl be receiving a crad in the mail within the next few days and there were offers attached to the card such as free gas, etc.

He asked me at first to verify my name, address, etc. And then say "OK". He then told me of the first "free" offer for gas and that my confirmation number was "8507". I asked him to hold on after hearing that number again and I went to my pocketbook to get my bank card and much to my surprise he hung up and then I noticed a $25.00 charge when I called the automatic banking.

I had one of the girls check into it and that is when I found out it was this company. The bank said I had to cal for a refund before they would process my "back charge" which I didi and Rose and Larina both said no refunds they have me confirming this on tape. How did they get my bank card number is what I want to know.
