Eeoc
Ripoff The only people I see not doing their job, but still have one

Miscellaneous

After being wrongfully terminated from my company, I filed a claim with the EEOC. Having sent a detailed description of happenings and listing several co-workers who witnessed the discrimination, I waited patiently to hear back from them.

After approximately 6-7 weeks, I received a call from the EEOC only to inform me that they would be dropping the case due to lack of evidence. Concerned about this finding, I inquired further. I asked if an investigation had been done or if anyone had been interviewed. Her reply was that the EEOC did not have time to investigate and nobody had been interviewed, however, I was still issued the "right to sue" documentation. How can a "right to sue" be issued if there is no case?

The irony of this story is I went above and beyond my job responsibilities only to find myself unemployed while the employees of the EEOC are able to do very little, and still receive a paycheck.
