Hello everyone, i'm from the uk and came across this site whilst looking into a suspect 300 us dollar cheque that i recieved today on my return from work.
The cheque that i received is from Qchex, and i have now read about lots of people being scammed by being asked to cash cheques for people and wire money using western money transfer, my case seems to be a little different. I think it's different because i have not been contacted by anyone with regards to a cheque. I've not sold anything to anyone or agreed to do anything for anyone. It seems just totally random!
The other wierd thing is that i went onto the qchex site to see if i could track the originator of the cheque and found that i'm a registered user of the site!!! I've never even heard of the company before today. I thought i'd put in my e-mail address and click the "forgot password" link. I did this and when i was logging on i was told that my account is a suspect fraud case.
Because i live in the uk i've not been able to get in touch with them yet but i would like to know why i never received a confirmation e-mail from the company when someone set it up in my name?
Anyone got any idea's???
