Stealing Money and Defrauding Credit Ripoff

I moved to Raintree Village Apartments to help a friend with childcare in exchange for room and board. I had my name added to the lease at that time. After about 1 month of living at the worst place I've ever lived, the management changed.

They said we were in breach of the lease and I had to move out immediately. I said I would stay at a motel until the problem was resolved, but I was told that both my friend and I would be evicted immediately if I did not sign a lease for another apartment for 6 months that very day.

I told her I didn't have a job, because I was working for room and board only. She said she would give me a lease contingent on my getting a job.

After two weeks I was able to find another place to live. I had payed $450 for rent that month and $450 deposit. My damage list came up to $371 which was a lot less than the $450 deposit, but they kept sending me bills for over $2000 and reported me to collections. They reported a judgement against me without my having recieved any services that weren't paid for.

Raintree Village Apartments is an unsafe place to live. The Health Department shut them down at one point because it was so bad. The owner lived in California, so he couldn't be contacted to report the incompetent managers.
