Rip Off, Expensive Charges, Fraudulant Recordings

National Magazine Club aka NMC called me one night and offered to give me a free digital camera and a diamond watch. They said they were a part of my bank. Sounded great, they stated that all I had to do was agree to paying for magazines for one time. One time payment of $62.40. I agreed.

They took $62.40 out of my bank account. I shut off my credit card because I had lost it. NMC calls me again saying that I owe them $600.00. I asked why and they said that I agreed to pay $62.40 for 16 months. I told them no, that it wasn't what I agreed to. The man argued with me and stated that they had a recording. I told them again that isn't what I agreed to. Finally after arguing with this man I hang up the phone.

A few weeks later they call again, but a different person from their "Loss Preventions" Department. I try to explain to this man the same thing. He argues as well, never giving me a chance to explain myself in detail. I hang up on him

I got about 10 other phone calls all from different people. When I finally asked to speak to their manager, I was told that I wasn't allowed to. They have threatened me with a law suit and a recording that I have yet to hear.

I get a call from an "attorney"... He says that the name of the company is "International Magazine Club" and not "National Magazine Club"... He tells me that the phone conversation will be recorded and anything I say can be used. I tell the man that I refuse to talk to anyone without an attorney present. The man laughs and hangs up.

Who are these jokers?!?!

No one will give you a chance to explain yourself, they will cut you off once you even start disagreeing with them, then they try to play the "who is the bigger bully"... What a bunch of crack pots.
