It was so good to find this category on the consumer complaintss! It has been 25 years since I was abused by Ed Meyer. I will never forget it. I don't think I should. Even after all this time the only time I feel safe is when I am with my husband. I don't know where he is, or if he's even still alive (I hate to say it but I hope not). But if you meet a man about 6ft tall, brown kind of curly hair, blue eyes and his name is Ed Meyer... Run! As is typical of abusers he isolated me from anyone who he thought would intervene in his systematic distruction of my life and even had my brother and parents convinced he was just trying to beat some sense into me! Caused problems that exist even today in my relationships with my family.

Without going into detail I was only able to have one child (which I almost lost) and had to have a hysterectomy at age 37. He backhanded me in the face so much that parts of my face sag as I've aged in a way that is consistant with abuse survivors. It's so bad I've had a plastic surgeon offer to do the reconstruction for free. I still have nightmares. My ribs still ache even though the fractures healed long ago. Who knows, maybe he got help and has led a normal life. I doubt it. I would do anything to erase him from my life and my memories.
