Miscellaneous

You may receive an email from aw-confirm@ebay.com.
I got an e-mail today telling Me I MUST update or I am forbidden to use the ebay site in any way. This is a scam to get pertinant information to bank accounts.

Do NOT Give any information!!! It is a scam.

I decided to follow the site located within this ip 62.193.199.160 to see where it goes (plese dont try its not the whole one I tried) the link in inredibly long.

I found a nice ebay login area that looks totally Real but it is Not the real site. And proceeded to log in with the most Wrong information I could think of (obcene words) to find a welcome "obcene word" please update your account.

All the fill ins ask for personal information including total credit card AND even the pin number, checking account number, birth date and social security number.

Hence after giving them all the Wrong information the site politely dumps you back to the real ebay site.

I guess what Im saying is Dont be a fool and follow it through with Your Real information, Youll wake up broke and disgusted.

Then again, I suggest not even opening it because it may verify and send more dumb emails to your address.

Sending to ebay they informed me the address "aw-confirm@ebay.com" is not legit either.
