Ripoff, deceitful, poor business practice

My boss owns a small business and I answer the telephone there.in January I received a call from Local Biz USA wanting authorization from me. I told them I did not have that authority but they could send my boss paperwork and he would look over it. Two weeks later I received another call from a woman who spoke so quickly all of her sentences ran together. I could barely understand what she was saying because she was speaking so fast. I was also at work and busy with customers. She said my name and asked if that was correct. I said "yeah". She then continued to speak so quickly I didn't understand her but I said "fine" just to be done with the telephone call.

The next thing I know my boss asks me about a $34.95 charge each month on his telephone bill! I called Local Biz USA and spoke with Duane. He was VERY rude and told me he had a tape of me saying "yeah" which meant I had authorized those charges. I was very upset and informed him that I didn't have the authority to authorize anything, only my boss did. He basically said it was my problem and I had said "yeah". What kind of people do business this way? It's sneaky and dishonest and a rip off!
