Credit card ripoff Tampa

I got a phone call from First US Financial, and was offering me a credit card of 2500.00 limit, and to charge 299.00 out of my bank account. And they took it out on Feburary. 17. Then they sent me a package in the mail to sign a preapproved application., and to send a check of 39.95 for a processing fee.

So I did that, and I called today, the 20th, and they said they are not processing those credit cards anymore. So they said my application was sent to a address Worldcom 500 South Kings Highway Cherryhill, Nevada 08034. But they did not have a phone number on them.

So I called information, and they said they had a Worldcom in Las Vegas, Nevada. So they gave me that number and it was a person answered the phone, but then hung up.

So I called my bank, and since I authorized the charge they wouldn't refund my money back, and then I called them back after i found this site and they just told me to go file a police report. So I don't know what else to do. Thanks Alice
