Ripoff $249.00 was withdrawn from my account, Canada, India

Someone contact me via cell phone to offer me a grant. The person indicated that in order to receive the grant, they need an account number so they can electronically transfer funds into my account. Without thinking, I provided her with my account number. She then asked for routing numbers and I began to get suspicious I discontinue the call and assume that no action would be taken. Several days later, $249.00 was withdrawn from my account. I had my bank research this and to my surprise it was from the same company the claim I was to receive a 25,000 grant. I contacted the company via the 1 800 number and was told that money can not be refunded. This is a scam!
