Daria Sous, Land lord, Birchwood apartments Rip-off Lazy, hipocritical, maintenance worker - landlord charge extra fees but don't fix nothing slumlords, Verona

The people who run the Birchwood apartments in Sayre, Pa are hipocrits. Don't rent from them! I understand that in this somewhat rural area there aren't alot of nice places to rent from, but looks can be deceiving.

About 8 months ago I was looking for a new apartment. Everything was crap except for the one at the Birchwood complex. It was clean, modern, and most expensive. But that didn't bother me at first. I took the apartment, a 3 bedroom "townhouse" to be more specific.

Everyone here has pets and animals, even the people in the small 1 bedroom shacks across the street. So we decided to get a kitten. Anyway, the maintenance worker came in our apartment while we were at work to put in some windows and he noticed the cat. Next thing I know we are getting charged a $200 "pet fee" for not getting their approval.

Well, what the heck was the security deposit for? So like a couple of jerks, we payed the "pet fee" even though no one else with pets ever got charge it. Since we moved here everything has broken down and is made of extremely poor quality. The windows are stained and foggy (except for the one that was recently put in).

The entire electrical and wiring system in this apartment is junk. The furnace is junk too. There is no heat in two rooms.in December, the furnace stopped working. I paged the maintenance worker and he didn't fix it until the next day, even thought this was an emergency.

I have a 2 year old child! The closet door has fallen out. I could go on and on and on all day. It seems like they expect us to pay extra fees for the luxury of living in this scumhole but they don't fall through on their end when something breaks. It's not fair, and this place is a true rip off.
