Ripoff taking advantage of people down on their luck

I recieved a call stating that I had been pre approved for a credit repair program including a 2500.00 master card and was asked for my account information. After informing them I was not comfortable giving this information out the representative told me that they would transfer me to a supervisor if I was more comfortable.

After a few minutes of conversation I reluctantly agreed to give my information. After a couple weeks of hearing nothing I made several calls to this company. They stated that my paperwork was being processed and I was reassured that this was an actual credt card and not just a sales pitch.

Since then I have made several more calls checking the progress of my paperwork. They said it had been mailed out and again after asking if it was a true credit card I was reassured that it was. Today I recieved my paperwork and come to find out it was a travel club with an aplication for a master card slipped into the pamphlets
