Over charge

We went to Krystal's yesterday, and got the 5 for $5. We were charged the full amt, even though there were signs everywhere (5 for 5 mix or match). The receipt didn't say combo meal, so we were charged per item. When we asked about it, we were told we have to tell them 5 for $5. No let me fix that for you, no apology, no nothing. To me if you say 2 chicken and 3 cheese burgers, doesn't that equal 5? I don't think the server wanted to be bothered.
