Misled from day one

I was told that after the first set of payments I would have paid most of the balance and would A) be able to pay a small remaining portion and be done or B) continue payments and pay off the remaining portion. At this time I have paid $2200 dollars to them on a total 0f $1400 of merchandise and ever two weeks am paying another $125 dollars, which pays a whopping $17.50 towards my pay-off. They have me scheduled for payments, every other week, thru next October... I am currently trying to terminate this so called lease, even if it means loosing what I have paid for. I do not know what to do...
