Handbag strap discoloration

I purchased a Calvin Klein hobo handbag about 7 months ago at Macy's. Within the last month I have noticed that the leather on the center of the strap has started to discolor and you can visiblly see a red color bleeding through. It has also started to crinkle and have the appearance of aged or sagging skin although the leather has not torn and remains intact. I am in the habit of only purchasing leather handbags so as to have the use for many years. I am very disappointed in as much as the handbag was costly and I made the purchase as an indulgence. I can trully say that I have never had this type of issue with any other leather handbag from any other manufacturer or label whether it be a well known designer label or not. If there is anything that can be done to rectify this I would certainly be appreciative of your advice, otherwise this will be a deciding factor in any future purchase of the Calvin Klein label of products that I intend to make.
