Deceptive and Fraudulent Practices

I had talked to Josh at Transmission Doctor about having my transmission inspected to determine if it could be repaired and after said discussion, my car was picked up by a tow truck and taken to the Transmission Doctor on River Rd. I was thereafter informed that my transmission could be rebuilt and that it would cost around $1600 to rebuild it. I informed Josh that I was on fixed income and would be able to pay that much money to have my transmission rebuilt. Josh then informed me that the Transmission Doctor offered financing and that I would be approved to have the cost of the repairs financed. Specifically, I was told by Josh that I would be approved and therefore I would be able to get my car when it was repaired and be allowed to make low monthly payments towards the financed amount until it was paid off. Based on what Josh had informed me I authorized the Transmission Doctor to repair my transmission. After my transmission was repaired, Josh informed me that I had not been approved for financing and therefore I would have to pay the full amount of the repair bill which was now approximately $2600 before I would be able to get my car back. I don't have this kind of money and I would have never allowed my car to be repaired by the Transmission Doctor if I would have had to pay the full amount before I got my car back. Josh pulled the old bait and switch on my by telling me one thing to get me to allow them to fix my car and then switching it after the car was fixed. Now I can't even get my car back and on top of that, the Transmission Doctor quoted me a price of around $1600 in the beginning and then at the ending said that I owed them $2600. Not so! The transmission Doctor are unethical, deceitful, and unprofessional. I recommend that you do not trust their services. Gloria if you read this post I say that we do something about the Transmission Doctor.
