Ripped off for cash, no receipts, repairs not made, and tags, stickers removed and used on other cars while at this shop! Warning!

I was referred to this garage by Dexter Gilmore who owns a neighboring auto paint shop. I initially became suspect when the mechanic JASON WATSON requested a $1000 cash deposit and failed to issue a receipt. I questioned Dexter Gilmore as well as the garage owner. I was assured JASON WATSON was trustworthy as well as good mechanic. Our car was at the garage TEN MONTHS. I paid JASON WATSON $3600 to repair a 1999 Lexus ES400, to eliminate the check engine light and repair the brakes. The repairs were not made. Check engine light was off briefly and WATSON used a dealer tag to get the car to pass emissions. The car was returned in May by Jason Watson who claimed the car would be good for another 250,000. The car was in our possession 1 1/2 weeks and the check engine light resurfaced and the brakes had not been repairs. The car was returned to the garage. JASON WATSON then provided a laundry list of problems that remained as though I paid him $3600 for a diagnosis. After refusing to give him any more money, the car was returned evidencing that the tag/sticker had been removed from our car and taped back onto our car. The owner of the garage accepts no responsibility and said he only rents space to mechanics.
